HabbediEhre! I´m Herbert, but most people call me Herbi (like the fancy car from the movie).
I am from Austria and since the beginning of 2018 I live in Vienna, the most livable city in the world.
Before that I spent five years in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and I loved every bit of it. The majority of my abroad experience I lived together with my girlfriend on a trendy houseboat and we even had our own motor boat to cruise around the canals of Amsterdam.
During my time in Amsterdam I was working for a big hosting provider in the Netherlands. There I had the Scrum Master role in different teams and I learned a lot about how Scrum works.
Since then I am a big fan of the Scrum methodology and I really like to discuss related topics and exchanging experiences with other people in that business (especially when drinking a beer).
Since I live in Vienna I work for InfPro, a software development company from Innsbruck. I also used to work in that company before I went to Amsterdam and therefore it felt like coming home again. I had the honor to open up a new office in Vienna and here I have the role of a Site Manager. Even though this role has a small managment part in it and I also do a lot more coding again, I still see myself as a Scrum Master, at least part time.
In this blog I want to share what I experience and learn on my journey, especially the things related to Scrum and team managment, but sometimes also topics about software architecture, coding or infrastructure.
